Data Center Cloud Sales

Data Center Cloud Services Sales will be responsible for driving new M&A Data Center Cloud services and solutions. The position will drive attainment of new customers and maximize revenue results consistent with corporate objectives. They will establish sales territories, engage with partners, set goals, and help allocate resources to ensure revenue targets are met. The position will also assist executives in defining organizational goals and strategic plans.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS & KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: (include but are not limited to)

  • Responsible for acquiring new clients, growing and maintaining business sales of Data Center services and solutions
  • Increase sales volume through a variety of new customer acquisition activities including partnership development, marketing activities, prospecting and events
  • Handles specific accounts assigned as “management accounts”, delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with Sales Advisors
  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals
  • Directs sales pipeline activities and sets performance goals accordingly
  • Analyzes sales statistics and results to formulate policy and assist the promotion of sales
  • Represents the Company at trade associate meetings, community meetings, industry events, and other opportunities to promote products
  • Serves as liaison between sales and other departments within the company
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition
  • Other duties as assigned

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Lead Generation:

  • Pro-actively research and pursue target organizations and establish communications with those prospects that can benefit from our services

 

Prospect Management:

  • Develop and manage account Business Development activities for prospects and assigned customers
  • Establish and maintains personal contact with customers to determine possible purchasers of company products and/or services
  • Develops and manages Channel Sales Strategy

 

Account Management:

  • Supports the Account Management Team in the administration of databases, bookings, reviews, forecasting and planning
  • Drives efforts to meet/exceed billings/revenue/contracts targets
  • Proactively manages customer segments to reduce overall churn activity and maintain healthy customer relationships

 

Overall:

  • Prepare annual Business Development plan through research and experience. Formulate market analysis and deliver accurate business reports; as well as prepare the annual work plan
  • Ability to travel

 

QUALIFICATIONS & PREREQUISITES

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in IT and/or Data Center Sales or Consulting
  • 5+ years in Business Development or Sales
  • Extensive business knowledge with understanding of the Data Center and/or IT Services a must
  • Experience selling IT and Cloud, Backup/DR or Data Center services
  • Experience analyzing customer needs and proposing “best fit” solutions
  • Strong communication (both oral and written skills)
